This was my 3rd visit to vfs and I was finally able to submit my application. The agent was helpful but very frustrated with me. I find it very difficult to figure out exactly what is required in an application. The checklist is helpful but doesn't clarify in what format items should be submitted. In specific, my "invitation" to stay in Portugal seems to need a copy of the invitees passport, even though I had an electronically signed letter from my invitee. This is not clear in the checklist. Perhaps you could provide a link in the checklist to view examples of a final submission and the proper formats. Also, appointments are not available on the website, so I was advised last time to just walk in. That helped as my Apostille would have been over 90 days again, which is what happened last time.
