This is a useless site and have pathetic experince with this site every time. They show appointment availability one time and when i try to book appointment and enter payment screen, it says , that slot is no more avilable and then we have to resume again with applicant details which take another 15 minutes and this time , they won't show any slots for next 6 months ... I had do to this 9-10 times and wasted 2 -3 hours of time and still was not able to make an appointment .. Tried another day and same experience..It won't even say your applicant details ...Such a pathetic experience and terrible service

Also Suraj who attended us for document collection was very very patient and helpful.

Overall a very good experience

Similar poor experience the second time has pushed me to share my experience. I hope it'll be useful for those who approach VFS for availing Visa (specially for Germany). I am working for a German company (into Medical devices) since 4 yrs now, being stationed in India. Applied for a Schengen Business visa in 2024 thru VFS to meet my colleagues, a small training, business plans etc. Submitted all the docs along wid company invitation letter etc and to my surprise it GOT REJECTED. All the time & energy in preparing for the docs, travel, money etc wasted.
They say getting a business visa is complicated hence this time recently (9th Feb 26) i applied as tourist Visa. Same invitation letter from my Boss along with accommodation details etc. my 3 yrs ITR, my property docs etc etc. Even this time it GOT REJECTED. When i called ambassy they said i should have included a few more docs like "Rent Agreement of Germany office/apartment" Permanent Id of my Boss etc etc (though his Passport was added by me).
If they dont know which all docs shall be required by the ambassy to process the Visa the why are they taking such a handsome FEES etc etc??
I don't know about others, but wid my Twin experience i can definitely say that VFS staff is totally ignorant about the formalities, req. of docs etc specially for Schengen Visa. Hence would suggest all to go directly to ambassy to avoid wasting your time and money and facing continuous disappointment,

Excellent Experience at VFS Mumbai Premium Lounge

I recently visited the VFS Mumbai Premium Lounge for my visa application process, and the entire experience was extremely smooth and well-managed.

The premium lounge offers a calm, comfortable, and well-organized environment away from the regular crowd. The seating arrangement was spacious, clean, and relaxing. The staff especially Krutuja was courteous, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. They guided us clearly at every step, from document verification to biometric submission.

The waiting time was minimal, and the overall process was handled efficiently without any confusion. Refreshments were also provided, which added to the comfort, especially during longer processing times.

If you are looking for a hassle-free and comfortable visa submission experience in Mumbai, I would highly recommend opting for the Premium Lounge service at VFS.

Overall, a seamless and premium experience.

Pathetic experience.
The reception person named Aniket Kamble in an unethical way conveyed us that the optional facilities like courier etc were compulsory & VFS had to be paid for the same. Upon confronting manager Mr Ramesh , he was casual & ignorant of the issue & was covering for the reception guy. Never expected such service from VFS. I have previously apllied for US, CANADA & no where the centres were involved in such UNETHICAL BEHAVIOUR.
It won’t be long before it will be ahut down.
VFS Pune is looting people with UNETHICAL practices.

. I emailed that address immediately — it bounced back as undeliverable.

On Facebook Messenger, I attached all required documents, including:

Proof of the £75 courier payment made during my online application

Proof of the additional ₦48,000 paid at the Lagos (Ikeja) VAC

Evidence clearly showing the double payment

In addition, I completed a formal refund request form, providing extensive payment details as requested. I have received no acknowledgement, no case reference, and no response.

At this point, I must ask:
Why is it so difficult to refund £75 back to the original payment method when clear proof of double payment has been provided multiple times?

The continued redirection to non-working communication channels, lack of acknowledgement, and failure to process a straightforward refund is extremely concerning. This level of opacity does not reflect the standards expected of an organisation handling sensitive visa processes.

Unfortunately, this pattern of behaviour is beginning to seriously damage VFS Global’s public image and risks giving the impression of deliberate obstruction rather than customer service.

I am once again requesting:

Immediate confirmation of receipt of my complaint

A clear refund timeline

Refund of the wrongly charged £75 without further delay

This issue is simple, documented, and fully evidenced. It should not require this level of escalation to resolve.
