I ordered a garden gate and it was scheduled to be delivered last week. I waited in all afternoon but it never came. I got an email from Vipdelivered customer services the next day to say no one had been in to receive the gate and I would have to pay £20 for it to be redelivered. I was furious and replied that I had been in all day, sat in the garden looking down the farm drive waiting for delivery and no vehicles had come down the farm drive all afternoon; I told the young lady who had e mailed me that I was not paying £20 for a re delivery when the first delivery had never happened and that I wished to escalate my complaint. In a matter of hours I got an e mail back apologizing and saying they had investigated and I was right; no delivery had been attempted. What had happened exactly I don't know but I presume the driver couldn't find the address. Quite why I don't know. It's easy to find. I have a caravan and camp site and I couldn't run my business if people couldn't find the place! Anyway they re scheduled delivery for today and I took delivery about 10 minutes ago. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. So, an initial problem but the company did accept that they were at fault and fully resolved that problem. The young lady I dealt with by e mail about the initial delivery failure was very helpful and today's driver was similarly very helpful. I would be happy deal with Vipdelivered again and I found their live update system that told me exactly when the driver would arrive to be fantastic; it even allowed me to track his progress on the road!
