Seen an opportunity on their website and applied. Contacted them the following day since no one replied. Speaking to someone, they started off talking about the role and answering my questions but half way through the conversation they got a little irate. Asked further about the role whether it exists or not, and they started talking more without giving a yes or no answer. I then said it is clear that I am not going anywhere and want my information deleted. He then said that they can't and I needed to contact Jobsite (btw, applied directly on their website) and follow their procedures. I reminded him that it was applied directly and it is on them to remove it. He got irate and hanged up. Instantly I had a phone call back and message left by a Manager who claimed he was listening in to the conversation and the person I was speaking to was a trainee and I should call back to discuss further. No. I think this is company needs to be called out as being another 'recruitment farmer' where they farm jobs from other sites and other recruiters and are another brown layer of paper pushers. Avoid.
