I had a similar experience as some of the people below. While staying in Barcelona for 2 weeks I signed up for a month-long membership, as it was relatively inexpensive and the gym had the equipment I needed and it worked out better than paying daily at some other gyms. I made it very clear to the staff that I only needed a month and not to extend it any further than that. This was in November. Now in February I am still being charged every month for this membership, even though I haven't been in Barcelona since mid-November. It was very difficult to cancel, and I am frankly not sure they won't charge me again in March. They should most certainly reimburse me for December through February, and need to stop charging people past the date they have requested their membership. How is this legal. Will be reaching out to a consumer protection agency next, if they don't resolve this matter.
