Laura as tutor on SCS for live sessions was fantastic. Her knowledge was excellent and very motivating from start to finish. I was quite disappointed with some of the Viva materials on the course. The mocks in particular. Mocks issued by Viva were questions from previous SCS CIMA exam sittings. This makes sense from an exam standard point of view, but as they were based off of previous exams with different preseen, the mocks/solutions missed the mark on some of the understanding of the preseen and industry. The mocks did not touch on key issues in the preseen that would be seen as highly likely to be tested and had topics that I felt was very unlikely to appear for the exam sitting based on the preseen.Additionally, the SCS Elite course was advertised as 4 mocks, however there was only 3 for submission and feedback. When this was pointed out by a student on the course, mock 4 was noted as an error and there was only 3 on the course. On Monday before the exam sittings began the Wednesday, there was a bonus mock issued to all students with no solutions. This was quite overwhelming to be given more exam questions with no solutions so close to the exam, and raised nerves among the student group.
