I have had this happen multiple times and finally decided to write a review. I get emails often from volcom with advertisements. I bought a 2 piece swimsuit, a top and a hat on a Friday. Monday I get another email with a larger discount offered. It irritated me but no big deal I can live with it. At this point I still didn’t have a confirmation my order shipped. Of course again I think no big deal. Well… next day another email with an additional 5% off because it was s holiday. Ugh when will my items ship?? After 10 days I send emails asking when will my item ship? My response is the standard “alllow 21 days” or some blanket reply. Now I start calling asking and get I apologize it will be shipped soon. 2 weeks after I ordered the items I get an email the bottoms to the swimsuit I ordered are sold out! Well of course they are! You took orders for days after I placed MY order! When I asked to cancel the top I was told would need to cancel the entire order and start over. What the heck! They can take off what they want but I can’t! I didn’t need the swimsuit top if you didn’t send me the bottoms. Ugh… I then had to start calling around to all the volcom stores to try to find the matching bathing suit bottoms. I eventually found a manager of a store, and was kind enough to call around and found me some but I had to drive an hour each way to get these. They weren’t allowed to ship anything ! no I didn’t need to do it but I really liked the swimsuit.About six weeks later, I get another email showing another swimsuit that I wanted. They only had the top which they showed they had plenty of. There was no red exclamation mark next to my size that shows they are low in stock. I buy it after I had found the matching bottoms elsewhere so now I bought the matching bottoms and I bought the top from volcom. Again the same thing starts happening where I keep getting emails of the sale and then a little bit later. I get another email that it’s been marked down again, now weeks have gone by and I still don’t have a confirmation that the item has shipped I start sending emails stating how frustrated I’m going to be if I have bought the bottoms elsewhere and they don’t send me the top because they over, sell it by continuing to advertise the sale before they put my order. They assured me that this is not going to happen two weeks goes by. I still don’t have the confirmation it’s shipped so I called I continue to call and ask for a supervisor. I get Chris who tells me that he is going to send an email to the warehouse and have them ship it out to be overnight. He apologizes immensely and says he will even refund my money. I explained I don’t need to refund my money. I just need him to ship the item and that I’m highly concerned that they’re going to sell out of it and I’m going to end up with a pair of bottoms that I don’t need if they can’t send me the top I bought. He assures me that no he’s going to have it FedExd to me. I’ll have it the next day the next day I don’t get anything. I call back and he apologizes and says he is going to take care of it, he is going to call the warehouse directly and have the top overnighted to me. Again, I don’t receive anything but I do have a receive an email telling me that unfortunately the top is sold out and I no longer I’m going to have it sent to me!! Mind you I already received a matching bottoms that I bought from another company. I have now spent $25 on a pair of bottoms that I never will get the top from welcome. I spent hours on the phone trying to find a company that has the top and nobody has it. I left numerous messages and sent numerous emails asking for a supervisor to call me, I did this for over a month. Finally I called and demanded to speak to a supervisor. I got Derek who claims he’s been there since 2003. He was absolutely terrible All he did was make excuses after excuses and offered me a 50% discount code really how about reimbursing me for the bottoms that I bought? Once again, I decide I’m going to place an order for a top that they sent me an email about I ordered December 29 and I’m told on their website that they are closed for a week so it to expect a delay I had it sent to my house in Hawaii , which I was going to be out until February 8. I knew I’d be able to wear the top while I was here, it took them a while to ship it out which I understood because they were closed but once I got the updated shipping I’m now not going to have it until February 9. That is six weeks to send a size small tank top to Hawaii again I sent several emails all which go on answered so I called again I get Derek again. He told me that this is standard shipping to Hawaii on FedEx. Smart post.Well guess what Derek STOP USING SMARTPOST! How about USPS which takes max 5 days!! Seriously I am done with volcom online. They are absolutely the worst. I ordered from quicksilver and Roxy and had them both within 7 days of ordering and it was free shipping too.
