I purchased the cutter new from the thermomix shop recently. Delivery was very slow. I used it for the first time the day after arrival (after it had been through the dishwasher). I read the instructions manual (well its functions are not exactly intuitive) and then thick grated a small amount of freshly opened Reggiano cheese. The cheese was not hard and I would assume this is exactly what a grater should be able to do (a carrot or potato would be significantly harder). However, I heard a clunk followed quickly by another cluck so I investigated to find the bottom of the shot / feeder had broken off. The next morning I contacted Thermomix, they asked for photos and advised they would let me know what, if anything, they were going to do. I have had no further contact from them. My take on this is the cutter was either faulty or was not fit for purpose! My treatment by Thermomix (‘what, if anything …’) is disgusting and totally inappropriate. Pictures of Reggiano (you can see how small the piece I used is by what is missing from the block) and the damage to the lid. You can also see the cheese residue and no other residue! Lift your game Thermomix! I also bought the sepializer attachment (not opened or used), I think the best outcome here is for Thermomix to provide a return shipping label for the 2 items and provide a full refund. Time between purchase and shipping was way too long.
