This is my first time ever registering with Vultr. I did not use any promo codes or try to abuse any bonuses. I created a clean, legitimate account for my business and deposited $100.
Shortly after registration, Vultr support requested my identity documents for verification. I provided everything they asked for. They replied that they had reviewed the documents, and everything was fine.
However, less than 24 hours later—right after I finished installing Dokploy on my VPS—they suddenly banned my account without any explanation. They are now refusing to reopen the account and, more importantly, they are keeping my $100 deposit for services they never provided.
How can a reputable company verify a user's documents, accept their money, and then terminate the service the very next day without a refund? This is a scam. They are literally stealing funds from new users.
I am now forced to initiate a chargeback through my bank and report this incident to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). To all business owners: avoid Vultr at all costs. They will waste your time and steal your money.
