Review Time
This is my first time ever registering with Vultr. I did not use any promo codes or try to abuse any bonuses. I created a clean, legitimate account for my business and deposited $100.
Shortly after registration, Vultr support requested my identity documents for verification. I provided everything they asked for. They replied that they had reviewed the documents, and everything was fine.
However, less than 24 hours later—right after I finished installing Dokploy on my VPS—they suddenly banned my account without any explanation. They are now refusing to reopen the account and, more importantly, they are keeping my $100 deposit for services they never provided.
How can a reputable company verify a user's documents, accept their money, and then terminate the service the very next day without a refund? This is a scam. They are literally stealing funds from new users.
I am now forced to initiate a chargeback through my bank and report this incident to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). To all business owners: avoid Vultr at all costs. They will waste your time and steal your money.
Extremely Frustrating Experience. As a newcomer to this process, my only goal was to deploy an instance. After an hour and a half, I found myself stuck. It indicates deployment, but there's no guidance at all. What's the purpose of providing a service if there's no support available? I'm feeling so discouraged that I'm ready to cancel and seek out a more reliable option. I understand that beginners may not be a priority, but this is just too much.
I will buy a server for 90 USD, it reaches 100% CPU for a few minutes, and immediately they reduced the performance to a minimum!Supposedly automatically to 48 hidins. But 3 days have already passed. And nothing was removed.Well, I immediately contacted support, she refused to talk to me about the topic at all.And they always just dragged out the communication and didn't solve the problem. And when the problem should have been solved, they created a new ticket where no one answered my 15 messages.NEVER AGAIN!
This is very bad company. I have created my first VPS and after using only one day I got an email you have excessive CPU utilisation and after few hours Vultr blocked my account and my deposited amount $10 also blocked. According to my experience if you were serious business owner and your business have huge amount of traffic then kindly please don't risk your business on vultr. They will anytime suspend your account and your server without any reason they have many hidden terms and condition regarding server resources utilisation like CPU, RAM and also bandwidth. Finally I have advised to all of you please don't use their any services otherwise your account will be terminated anytime without any hidden reason please go away from this company and save your business midnight.Thank You.
I signed up for a VPS that I thought would meet my needs but they limited my CPU usage. No problem I thought, I'd just upgrade my plan to one that had enough CPU. However they refused to remove the limitations and just stopped responding after my second email. Don't risk it. Just go to a proper hosting provider.
Well. they removed my instance immediately after outstanding balance of 10 usd without any warning, instead of turning it off earlier. No remorse, hiding behind ToS. I don't like this sneaky approach. Avoid at all cost, you were warned. For business critical infrastructure, mission-critical uptime, or where support response matters a lot, use smth else.
The bad reviews here don't reflect my experience. I've been on Vultr for 9 years now. Initially they had just a few offering with great value, and their support was easy to reach. They have a nice control panel which works well. Lately I have noticed that they have multiplied their products which makes the experience worse and the value for money has gone down too.Seeing that most of the bad reviews are from new users and for their new services (GPU, etc.) I think they should concentrate on upgrading their core "cash cow" services such as VPS hosting which hasn't changed much for many years and is threatening to fall behind competition.
Vultr is an absolute nightmare. Their network goes down all the time and it feels like they don’t even care. When production is hit, you expect fast support – but here, they take hours to respond, if they respond at all. Most of the time, they just give useless generic replies and don’t actually help fix the problem. Completely unreliable and a waste of money. Avoid at all costs unless you want to deal with constant downtime and clueless support staff.
