The so-called 'Quick Start' program was a complete letdown. The occupational therapist seemed to lack the necessary experience, especially regarding elderly patients with dementia. Services that were needed were denied, and those who contacted me appeared uninterested in providing support. The practice of calling from 'number withheld' only added to their unprofessional image. In contrast, the district nurses who visited regularly were reliable and efficient.
