Having visited Warwick Castle multiple times over the years, I must express my deep disappointment at the declining organization of the Halloween event. Having been there during last year's rainy Halloween event, it is evident that the management hasn't taken lessons from the past.Firstly, the recurring issue of rain, which marred last year's Halloween event, seems to have left no impact on this year's preparations. Visitors were subjected to heavy downpours without the provision of tents or shelters. It was disheartening to see the band performing in the middle, essentially to themselves, as the entire area turned into a muddy quagmire and guests took refuge from the downpour. The "Glass Coffin" event this year was particularly concerning. Asking guests to wear the same eye band that had evidently been worn by hundreds before us, without any visible sanitization efforts, raises significant hygiene issues. This, coupled with the uncomfortable instruction to hold onto another guest's shoulder instead of the safer rope method used in the past, left me questioning the event's overall planning and concern for guest wellbeing.Furthermore, long queues under the relentless rain, coupled with repetitive events bearing too much resemblance to last year's, greatly reduced the overall enjoyment and value of the experience.Warwick Castle, with its rich history and prestige, should be offering events that reflect its stature. This Halloween was a missed opportunity to provide a memorable and positive experience. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback on board for future events.
