I ordered and paid for a book online which indicated 2/3 days delivery. After 7 days nothing, so I cancelled online and it highlighted that the cancellation was succesfull and the refund was being processed. I then ordered the book via Amazon (turned up following day and £8 cheaper). Two days after cancelling I get a email from Waterstones saying the book (I cancelled) was on its way. Rang the customer services and after being on hold for ten minutes was told quite dispassionately that you can't cancel books that you have paid for, so the online facility is misleading to say the least. I was told I have to post it back to get it refunded.I now have received the book I cancelled. I will never use this company again I wish I had read the numerous online reviews exposing the flaws in the online shopping experience.
