Where do I start. I placed an order with Wayfair and during checkout they sneaked in a $29 subscription without making it clear at all. It blends in with the other fees at checkout so you think you're just paying for delivery or taxes. You don't realize what you agreed to until you check your bank statement.
On top of that, my order never arrived on time. The delivery date came and went (March 31), and when I called to cancel, the customer service rep told me they had to "ask the warehouse" if they could cancel MY order. That's not how cancellations should work.
I cancelled through Wayfair AND through my bank. Order was cancelled — but they kept the $29 subscription charge and refused to refund it. Their excuse? That I "clicked" at checkout and gave consent. Clicking through a checkout to buy furniture is not consent to a subscription.
I received zero benefit from this subscription. My order was cancelled. And they still won't refund $29.
Avoid Wayfair if you don't want surprise charges on your card. Always check your bank statement after ordering from them.
UPDATE = the answer that they provided below this, is just a justification to make believe the readers that they solution the problem. They don’t, and they didn’t send any emails!BE CAREFUL PEOPLE!
