Review Time
I went to Wayfair anticipating to buy 2 things, approx, $400. I went to review the reviews and apparently if you want to see more than the 4 they choose you to see you must sign in, aka create an account. Really? Ok well bye bye, I should be able to make an informed decision on product purchases without giving anyone my email.
I had a very disappointing experience with this purchase. My order was delayed for almost two months, and at no point during checkout was I informed that the item was out of stock or unavailable. If I had known, I would have never placed the order.
Waiting that long without clear communication is extremely frustrating. A delay of this length without transparency shows a lack of respect for the customer’s time and planning.
This was a very poor shopping experience, and I truly expected better.
So dissapointed. Ordered a Elda Small Sofa Loveseat Couch Apartment Sofa Hallway Sofa With Storage Space. Wayfair Order #4357190636. Very cheap and the adjustable arm rests and back rest is flimsey and I don't feel they will last long. I have ordered a lot of items from Wayfair, very dissapointed. Overpriced for what you get. The insturctions to assemble do not match the numbers of the packages and they sent 3 of the same items when it should have been 2 and then 2 of the other. Instead I now have 3 of the same and 1
Was sent damaged table top, and poor quality control on the chairs.
Was originally told by customer service I will be getting a replacement tabletop, a week later my table top replacement order gets cancelled and now I am suddenly told to pack everything up and return everything
Wasted so much time putting everything together only to be told to undo it all.
Avoid at all cost
I ordered raised garden beds and I changed my address to my new shipping and billing address. Somehow the shipping address didnt save and the items shipped to my deceased granny's house. Customer Service was not helpful at all, the refused to refund the purchase, offer a discount or send new garden beds. They refused to help in anyway. I will never shop there again
Update: wayfairs outreach below can't be recieved because my email is wrong in their system. I called customer service and they say they can't fix ut because there is another account with my email and they can't merge accounts. Just a pure mess with customer service issues. In all fairness ever rep I have text or talked to is very kind but they can't fix anything. Everything is a ticket escalation. Fighting to get my refund issued. I am not sure what has happened to Wayfair. I have neverexperienced such bad product and service with them until the last few months. I received a product that was faulty (which as a consumer I know it happens sometimes) but Wayfair's follow up to the issue was subpar. They sent a return label, and I shipped it back, They didn't offer any kind of follow up regarding the return process and 2 weeks after the the product arrived at their facility I still haven received my refund. I reached out and they said they will have to put in a ticket. Still no resolution and now they have the product and my money. I have no way to hold them accountable even with my proof of delivery from fedex. Definitely not a good faith company anymore. Would no longer recommend purchasing from them.
Order #4538312719 to Deliver, Misrepresentation, and Refusal to Honor Merchant Responsibility
I ordered a children’s table from Wayfair as a birthday gift for my daughter. At checkout, Wayfair explicitly represented and confirmed a Saturday delivery date. That delivery date was a material condition of the purchase.
As of Monday, the item has not been delivered, and the order status shows clear fulfillment issues.
When I contacted Wayfair customer support, I was told that this was “not Wayfair’s responsibility” and that I must resolve the issue directly with FedEx. This statement is legally incorrect and misleading.
Under basic consumer protection principles and merchant responsibility standards, the seller — not the shipping carrier — is responsible for fulfillment, delivery, and issue resolution. I did not contract with FedEx; Wayfair selected the carrier, accepted payment, and therefore retains full responsibility for performance.
Wayfair’s response constitutes:
Failure to deliver goods as advertised
Misrepresentation of delivery terms
Refusal to accept merchant responsibility
Violation of reasonable consumer service standards
As a direct result:
A child’s birthday gift was ruined
Customer service refused escalation or corrective action
No refund, replacement, or compensation was offered
If this issue is not promptly resolved, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter through formal consumer complaint channels, including but not limited to the Better Business Bureau, state consumer protection agencies, and payment dispute mechanisms.
For a company of this size, this level of disregard for customer rights is unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid Wayfair for any time-sensitive purchases.
If you get stuck with a defective item, good luck. They will stick you with it. They have a circular loop of non-customer service designed to make sure you cannot get a decent resolution. I will never, ever buy a single thing from them again. Shysters is the only descriptive that comes to mind.
I selected a beautiful abstract rug measuring 10 x 14 with lighter shades, featuring blues and grays alongside some white. However, the rug I received has the same abstract design but in dark navy blue and gray, which is not at all what I wanted. The delivery was prompt, and while I was away, my husband and a friend laid the rug down, so I didn't get to see it before it was placed on the floor. I'm very disappointed and unsure about what to do next.
Returning this was more hassle than it’s worth. The couch's pillows were messed up, and although I received a 20% discount, the couch is too uncomfortable to use. The cushions were vacuum sealed, making it impossible to repack. Now, a month later, I’m searching for a new couch. Additionally, the electric fireplace coils don’t heat up. I decided to return the other items before facing more disappointment. I'm uncertain how to ensure product quality; it feels like a gamble.
