I am very disappointed with my recent experience with FIGs supercircle customer service regarding deceptive marketing practices regarding their scrub recycling program.
I had mailed two pairs of FIGs scrubs (retail price of $80 each) to the company in one package and expected a $50 credit. However, because I had sent both scrub pairs in one package, I only received a $25 dollar credit and that the credit is per package and not per scrub. When speaking to them about my concerns, they told me that they cannot return my scrubs because they were sent for recycling, and cannot issue me an additional $25 dollar credit for the inconvenience, despite being a loyal customer for many years, and me losing $80 dollars worth of clothing items without any consideration of the financial implications this has had on me.
The terms for their recycling program are misleading and deceptive for customers. The $25 dollar credit per their terms applies to each package you physically mail to them, regardless of the amount of scrubs contained in the package. This information is only evident towards the bottom of the page, after clicking through multiple tabs to understand this policy. Had this information been presented more clearly, I would have been more careful. It is especially frustrating, having paid $160 for 2 pairs of scrubs.
Transparent and accurate disclosure of material terms is a fundamental expectation in online commerce. The lack of clarity this information materially impacted my ability to make an informed decision.
