Modern Event Calendar has strong potential and a solid set of features. On paper, it offers exactly what we were looking for, and when it works, it works well.That said, we’ve run into a number of glitches that have created real complications on our website. These issues were not always obvious, predictable, or easy to diagnose, which made implementation more challenging than expected. We have had to do a lot of work arounds. If you’re technically compentant with web development and comfortable troubleshooting plugins, this tool could be helpful. If not, the learning curve and ongoing fixes may feel frustrating. Unfortunately, we had already paid for the plugin before fully understanding the scope of these issues, or we likely would have reconsidered.Support has also been a challenge. There does not appear to be live support, and submitting tickets puts the burden on the user to clearly articulate technical problems that may not be fully understood in the first place. In our case, having access to live support or someone who could quickly assess what was happening on the backend would have made a significant difference.In short, this plugin has promise, but it currently feels better suited for technically experienced users who have the time and capacity to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
