Modern Event Calendar has strong potential and a solid set of features. On paper, it offers exactly what we were looking for, and when it works, it works well.That said, we’ve run into a number of glitches that have created real complications on our website. These issues were not always obvious, predictable, or easy to diagnose, which made implementation more challenging than expected. We have had to do a lot of work arounds. If you’re technically compentant with web development and comfortable troubleshooting plugins, this tool could be helpful. If not, the learning curve and ongoing fixes may feel frustrating. Unfortunately, we had already paid for the plugin before fully understanding the scope of these issues, or we likely would have reconsidered.Support has also been a challenge. There does not appear to be live support, and submitting tickets puts the burden on the user to clearly articulate technical problems that may not be fully understood in the first place. In our case, having access to live support or someone who could quickly assess what was happening on the backend would have made a significant difference.In short, this plugin has promise, but it currently feels better suited for technically experienced users who have the time and capacity to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

The price-performance ratio is perfekt. It's an excellent program with extensive functionality. The functionality is now flawless, and the program works reliably. It's also a great program for course management and course calculations, for example, for yoga studios.Highly recommended.
They sometimes make changes to layouts of calendars and invoices/tickets, breaking the way the customer works. Getting in touch with support systematically is answered by telling the issue is with the customer. Only when the customer insists will they look further.Also, each time you contact support with a problem, they send emails to sell you more stuff.I am looking for alternatives and will kick the MEC components out as soon as I start announcing the next concert season.
Great experience so far with their Modern Events Calendar. I love the interface and find it pretty easy to work with once you set everything up. I could see this being overwhelming for some users as there are SO many options inside but again, once it's set, its great. Chat support was helpful to me the couple times I have required their help and were quick to jump on chat and be of assistance. Thank you!
What I liked about this plugin is that it is the only one that lets us create tickets for a Combination Event. Unfortunately, getting support has been a challenge, and we had to wait weeks after an update before our MEC received payment. It has been two weeks since I intermittently stopped working. If this doesn't get results soon, we will have to look at other options. Our business relies on booking.
Worst Customer Support Ever!I bought a plugin from this company and tried everything — sent emails, opened support tickets, even called their phone number — but nobody ever responded. Finally, someone answered the phone and said, “Sorry, you bought the plugin from a different website; we don’t support it.”That’s ridiculous — I called the number listed on the same website where I purchased the plugin!Good luck figuring out the plugin yourself because there’s absolutely no support.
I was very happy to stumble upon the Modern Events Calendar plugin. It's been difficult to get a calendar plugin to work with Divi. The MEC plugin is a dream. It's easy to work with and versatile even with the free version. It works perfectly with Divi and customer support has been exceptional. I highly recommend the plugin and the company.
