I’ve used CeX quite a few times over the years, and overall, they’ve been… alright.
I’ve bought multiple games and a few other items, and to be fair, everything has worked fine so far. No major issues, so I can’t complain too much about reliability.
That said, their pricing is very hit and miss. Sometimes you’ll find a genuinely good deal, but other times it just doesn’t make sense, especially for bigger items like phones, tablets, or consoles. In some cases, you’re paying nearly the same as brand new, which defeats the point of buying second-hand.
And the condition of items can be questionable. Some things look heavily used, with noticeable wear and damage, yet are still priced quite high. If I’m spending close to new prices, I’d rather just buy new and avoid the risk.
On the positive side, I did get a GTX 1660 Super from them in August 2025 for a very good price, and it was in great condition overall. It just needed a bit of cleaning, but otherwise no issues at all, definitely my best experience with them.
Overall, they’re decent, but inconsistent. You can get a bargain, or you can overpay. It really depends.
