This whole fiasco with Westgate Resorts began when we were approached at Universal Studios in Orlando about attending a brunch at Westgate Resorts and receiving money "for our time". We were intrigued by the opportunity, but we expressed our skepticism. The representative told us that all we needed to do was eat, listen to the presentation, and then we would receive the money. Hearing this, we agreed to attend. Instead of simply sitting through brunch and listening for an hour, we were pestered by a sales representative for EIGHT hours.From the beginning, her sales pitch was misleading.She claimed that Westgate was an investment and an opportunity to travel across the world. Obviously, this was appealing to us. If, however, she told us the truth then we would've turned our tail and left. The contract review was incredibly brief, and we felt rushed through the entire process. At no point did anyone ever disclose our Total Interest Percentage, the terms of our loan, or inform us that we had a period of rescission. Had any of this pertinent information been relayed to us then we wouldn't have signed anything. Westgate employees lied to us and coerced us into signing a contract that they failed to accurately describe to us.
