My wife and I were deceived into joining Westgate’s timeshare program. We were stuck in a room for 3.5 hours with salesmen approaching us and pressuring us to sign up for a timeshare. We NEVER wanted a timeshare to begin with but we were forced to purchase so we could finally be able to leave. Since our purchase, we have tried to book stays in Vegas and Orlando many times but have had issues with availability. Whenever a promotional offer requiring an upgrade meeting is available, we have no issue making a reservation but then are subjected to required meetings. We have had no luck using our points at all. We managed to rent a villa in Las Vegas through Westgate with no problem at all, but this was of course outside of our contract where we paid out of pocket. So, what was the point of purchasing? We were scammed by Westgate, period, end of story.
