We went to Branson in 2017 for a vacation and were lured in by free and discounted tickets. All we had to do is sit through some seminar. We were told it was NOT a timeshare. We could cancel at any time. We had to do a loan to pay off the $4000 membership fee and we were told we couldn't use our membership until the membership was paid off. My husband spoke with a representative to plan a vacation (after we paid off the $4000) and we were told we COULD HAVE used our membership during that time. We never used our membership, but we've been paying the yearly $149 fee. My husband went to cancel our membership and we were told we cannot cancel. Basically, we own a lifetime contract. There is NO WAY OUT. They have lied to us over and over again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND a membership with Westgate Travel Club.
