This is going to be long, so please bear with me.... my husband and I have OWNED at westgate for about 5 years now. We pay EVERY month on AUTO debit. We'll in DECEMBER 2022 we were on vacation for 2 weeks to be told less than 1 week after check in, yes folks we WERE checked in, and using 2022 weeks, anyway I received a call from more than rude female to tell me I need to go pack my stuff and leave because " 2023 fees for MAINTNACE were not paid yet" Jan.3, 2023 not even a full 24 hours of the due date. We were told since we didn't pay by the 1st yes the 1st that we had to leave our unit immediately. Hahaha my goodness really. Well it gets better I went back to our room, and the next day I called back to speak to someone else to be told I had to pay money now or leave WOW ok. I not only did not pay my full balance because i WAS threatened, but I waited an additional day before calling back yet again to be placed on a payment plan. Now I paid 200 more per month than asked of me #1, #2 I was told that at the end of my payments I would have paid more than enough for my fees! Great right..... ummmm NO, now I can't even get a loan because yup you guessed it MAINTANCE FEES ARE REPORTED LATE, AND NOW WE OWE ALMOST 100 MORE THAN AGREED...... wow I'm still in complete shock. I get it if fees are due by the 2nd pay them, well I had the money it was the point that I was threatened to leave, and loose every week I had left for 2022 (2) even tho NOTHING was due for 2022, and that's what we was using but we now have no weeks, bad name " nonreliable" ect. I was told about I month or so before my final payment they would remove ALL late fees, and interest as soon as my last payment credits. Ok well I Called to ask not to remove nothing mind you they offered this to me, I NEVER asked for this because I didn't even know I was being charges till I called in about my payments. So I told Destiny what was told to me, promosed to me, ect all I needed was a letter stating that they were going to REMOVE THE LATE, AND INTERST from my account as soon as it was paid in May. I was told NO because it is late, and to basically get over it. I told her it SOUND LIKE I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT " CONTACT" MY ATTORNEY, and she said you said attorney I'm going to end this call and hung up. I believe EVERYONE that has ANY timeshare should get together and sue the pants off them for robbing the elder, ( because that's the majority of owners) and get every penny back. I will now do everything in my power to get something changed, but the meantime if you want a 4bd it's for sale for 100,000 right now just let me know!
