Dealing with Westgate has to be one of the most expensive mistakes I ever made.

Dealing with Westgate has to be one of the more irritating and frustrating experiences of my life. From 2020 to present, I have NOTHING good to say. The salespeople are some of the shadiest, sneakiest people in the world. Everything I was told to rope me in to buying (then upgrading) was totally false! There is an extra fee for everything, which is never spoken of until you’re blindsided by it. I was offered an ownership that included cruises, but I never got it. When I questioned it, I was told I’d have to pay an additional $61 a month ON TOP of the $150 a month I was already paying for this special ownership! When I stayed at a resort and was unhappy with the FILTHY room I was put in, I was charged $358 to change rooms! Why should I have to pay more to be in a clean place? Cleanliness should be a minimum expectation, not a $300 luxury, especially when I am an owner! On top of all of this, during an upgrade, I was told that the $10,000 I had recently paid on another contract would be applied to the new one if I just call customer service and have the payment moved. Unsurprisingly, this did not happen, and I had to open a formal complaint. FOUR months later, I was contacted and told the investigation was closed and they admitted no wrongdoing. Every time I turn around, I catch them in a new lie and I am beyond fed up!
