We experienced misleading sales tactics from the company. A representative promised a 60-minute meeting but instead subjected us to a grueling 6-hour high-pressure situation with our three young children present. He made quick claims about partnerships, property value increase, and easy resale that turned out to be untrue. The contract process felt intentionally rushed. After nearly 4 hours, we asked for a break for our tired children, but the representative insisted we continue. He hurried through the contract in 15 minutes, without allowing us to grasp the terms. I mentioned my brain injury, yet was coerced into signing while mentally drained. Another representative completed the paperwork in a similarly rushed session. Every promise made was false. The contract transfers to our children, contrary to what was claimed. Maintenance fees rise each year, rather than remaining stable. We have been unable to use the timeshare as promised and are paying out-of-pocket for accommodations. Since February, we have faced relentless harassment. Corporate representatives have called excessively, contacting my spouse at work and me during medical treatments. During a critical therapy session when I was legally incapacitated, representatives pressured my sister and were extremely rude. Most concerning was that our account was upgraded without our consent. When we rejected these unauthorized changes, a representative claimed to send numerous documents, but only a few were accessible unless we signed first. Shortly after, we were locked out of our account. The company engaged in misrepresentation, high-pressure tactics, and deliberate withholding of information. The rushed process, my cognitive challenges, the presence of young children, and the exhausting duration of the ordeal constitute duress. Their behavior is unethical and predatory.
