Sorry for such a lengthy message, but it's been quite a fiasco of a year.I have never been so disappointed/mad/aggravated in my entire life!I have purchased Whirlpool products all my life, moving forward I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT!!! I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator June 2023. I had several issues with this unit and was more than willing to have each problem diagnosed and fixed. The continuous problem with this unit; in the refrigerator, it freezes everything! In my opinion, after 5 times of service coming out for the same issue, is beyond ridiculous! With the continuous freezing, I have had to throw out SO much food. I'm tired of working and throwing my money away. I kindly explained this to each representative I've dealt with, not once was there an offer of anything being replaced or gift card, etc. All that was said, “Oh I do apologize for that”. Yet, I'm supposed to be readily available for service to come and come and come again; continuing to miss work and must throw 'frozen' food away!I'm not, and don't claim to be educated in refrigerator service, but I do know that a brand-new appliance, under a year old, shouldn't have so many problems. I am entitled to have a working refrigerator that I paid for!!FINALLY on July 22, 2024 I received a replacement refrigerator. Here we are just a few weeks later and this unit is doing the same thing; freezing everything in the refrigerator. I went to the grocery store last week, and the weekend I had to throw everything away!! The money I’m throwing away, the time and effort it takes to continuously check things, is just uncalled for. Planned a get together over the weekend, low and behold, all the dishes I had prepared were ruined. I contacted the customer service department explaining just as mentioned above. I was told we would have to start the process over again to have the service team come out. This is beyond ridiculous and just isn’t acceptable. I am not going through all that again. I was more than patient and accommodating the first go around, but I am not doing it again. The amount of money I have spent, the time I missed work to have the numerous service visits, and then again missed work to have the part installed or reevaluated, the time and efforts to clear the refrigerator out and throw everything way is more than enough.At this point, a refund of the original amount I spent for the first unit I purchased, along with the 5 year maintenance agreement ($723) is more than reasonable in my opinion for all the disruption and costs that I’ve incurred. I DO NOT want another Whirlpool appliance. I am reaching out to you in the hopes that you will do what is right and Whirlpool will try and regain some of the lost customer service value. I appreciate your time and attention in this matter, and look forward to hearing from you or your team.
