I have a Whirlpool washing machine that stopped working. I had a AAA Service Network, a local repair company come out and service the machine. Once he arrived, he diagnosed the machine having a bad solenoid and likely motor. He also recognized that it was newer and likely under manufacture warranty still. He was correct. The AAA service man left us an invoice which detailed his findings and likely issues. I called Whirlpool and they sent out Michigan Appliance Repairs for warranty work. We gave the new repair man AAA service's findings. He played around with it and the machine started working while he was there. He said the intermittent working and not working was likely more than the solenoid/motor and was probably the motherboard, but since it was working while he was there. He then left, fixing nothing, and charged us $89 for warranty work.
