Bought a KitchenAid dishwasher (Whirlpool premium brand) that leaked from multiple tub seams from day one. The Whirlpool warranty representative noted that the top had been crushed, and there were significant dents in the rear and internal tub floor pan. It was covered under the 1 yr warranty HOWEVER, Whirlpool corporate service refused to replace the unit and insisted that repairs be made in the field. This is a 2-3 hours job and the dishwasher must be disassembled in our living room. A second appeal to warranty service was answered with "this is Whirlpool's final answer and no other decision will be made." The replacement tub unit part will take weeks to receive with no date provided for the repair. With the multiple dent damages, no indicated time for repair and no assurance that it will not continue to leak, we cut out loses and scrapped the dishwasher for recycle. I hope it returns as a competitive product that actually works Warranty service matters, but not to Whirlpool.
