Pretty much the same as most of you other folks. Have a 3 year old Whirlpool microwave and the glass spontaneously SHATTERED. Wasn’t on, wasn’t being used just shattered for no reason out of the blue. Called their customer service department to advise what happened. The set up an appliance repair company to come out to my house 3 weeks later to take a look. The company came out, took pictures and sent them back to Whirlpool the same day. A month or so went by and still no word from Whirlpool so I called back. Their customer service said she would send an internal message to the department that was handling it. I asked if I could speak with them directly and was told I could not. Here we are 5 months after I originally called and I have still not heard back. Finally had some time today on a day off of work (seeing it normally takes over an hour to get someone on the phone) and now their telephone prompts won’t even let me speak with anyone on the phone and makes you leave a call back number. First available call back date is a week from now. A WEEK! Mind blowing. Needless to say I will never buy anything from this company again. (I don’t really think they care too much, though….)
