Very disappointed with Whirlpool and…

Very disappointed with Whirlpool and the company they provided to come to my home for service which was Platinum Service. My Ice maker caught on fire in Nov. 2023 and whirlpool only covered my first service fee as a “courtesy”. A technician from Platinum service’s came out in January after waiting 2 months without a working fridge or ice maker. I then paid $300 for a service fee and new ice maker. My next appt was today, a month from the last (which was frustrating that I had to wait ANOTHER month). The Tech came to install the ice maker and found out that the ice maker didn’t come with a wire harness (which he claims he’s never seen before). The gentleman told me it’ll be an additional $15.99 for a wire harness and he’ll be back within 3-5 business days. I then get an email from Platinum Services that I owe them $55 for a new wire harness after being told by the tech that it’ll be $16. After going back and forth with Whirl Pool and Platinum services for 6 hours out of my day, there resolution was that the tech should have known that the parts are sold separately and that it’s my responsibility to pay for the wire harness. Long story short, the tech should have known that we needed to order the harness back in January separately and then I would’ve had my ice maker working after waiting 4 months. On top of that, I told Platinum Services that I want my $400 back and to cancel my service because it’s been so frustrating and aggravating dealing with both companies and they claim that they only have an accountant in office once a month and she doesn’t know when they come in so I’ll have to wait for my refund. Everything just seems VERY shady and I DO NOT recommend them. Please save your TIME and your MONEY because both companies do not care. I have nothing good to say about this product and the worst customer service ever. They should not even be in business.
