It seems that everything I have ever purchased from a Whirlpool company has failed prematurely. I recall a Cabrio washer that I replaced the lid 4 times due to mechanical failure because the lid counterbalance spring was too heavy for the plastic that the lid was made from…. And the machine would not operate with a cracked lid…Even after going on line to see the thousands of people that had exactly the same problem… Whirlpool continued to make excessive profit ($200.00 ea) on their bad design and never fixed the problem during my period of ownership. When I finally tossed and replaced with a foreign model I vowed never to knowingly purchase a Whirlpool product again. IMO they must have bad leadership because clearly they appear to not listen to Voice of Customer.
