I am extremely disappointed with Whirlpool’s customer service.
My Whirlpool refrigerator is still under the manufacturer’s one-year warranty. A crisper drawer broke and should have been a simple warranty replacement. Instead, I spent over five cumulative hours on hold across multiple days.
I was repeatedly transferred between Warranty, Parts, and even the Water Filter Department. Whirlpool Warranty transferred me to Parts, and Parts attempted to charge me over $200 for a warranty-covered part. The Parts Department phone system repeatedly failed to accept menu inputs, and multiple calls were disconnected after long holds.
When I escalated in writing and provided call logs and warranty proof, Whirlpool Parts responded with a generic message stating they are “out of warranty” and told me to call Warranty — despite Warranty being the source of the transfers.
This experience reflects a broken internal process and a failure to honor a basic warranty obligation. I would not recommend Whirlpool based on this experience.
