I saw a free gift offer and clicked. Too good to be true £7.95 to post it to me. Swallowed that And payment got captured via some other route. and 1 minute later I was told by email welcome to the club you are now subscribing for £27 a month. I went for a free gift and got a £300 per annum subscription. Looks like they cpature my payment details for postage and used that to get the subscription. send a cancellation email 2 mins after receiving and a few chasers as well as called to an answer machine a few times to cancel and say don't send me anything or charge me as i felt conned. eventually, after the free gift arrived, they responded, said no returns as too late (2 minute email not quick enough or not answering calls) and then proceeded to defend service, making me out to feel stupid or lacking observation as I had not spotted you had signed for £27 a month. Refused to take the box back in any form or refund my postage. A sneaky process and left me feeling misled ( or stupid in the eyes of whisky52). won't deal with companies like this and can only imagine worse to come. They did spend plenty time explaining why they were right on email but never called yet. Cancellation is not eaasy as no way to do it on the web, they say call us to do that. Then don't answer. The point around instant delivery of free gift (quicker than 2 mins) is laughable. They also refused to acknowledge that legally, i have 14 days to change my mind. even said I am not going to write a review after you refuse to refund all. They don't seem to care.If it was obvious, I would have known what i was signing up to. I did not. I don't consider myself stupid, but you can make me feel like that by saying you should have read it. Capturing details for postage and transferring them to a subscription is sneaky. I you want money for postage, take it. If you want details for the subscription ask for it not disguise it. I cancelled within 2 mins of your "welcome to the club" unexpected email (I am not a fast typer) does that tell you something? Called you. you don't answer and you cant leave a message. You don't reply to emails for 3 days by which point you say you have delivered the free gift and won't accept returns - handy timing!! For information I have worked in a very senior role in Customer Experience, helping hundreds of brands and some of the biggest brands and am considered an expert. I can give my opinion here and your experience is not a good one. Most of the companies I dealt with think they are great like you. There customers don't. In case you consider feedback useful rather than defend how good you are.
