My dachshund is a slow wanderer in a rural setting, so the three minutes between pings works ok for me. If you have a fast dog in a high traffic area, it could be a concern. The warnings and updates being sent to me via text are very helpful. In this area we have only had street addresses for a few years. The addresses aren't always accurate. All that said, for the price and my situation, it's a wonderful thing to have.
