WHOP enabled a scammer to take my money and then punished me for trying to get it back.
I paid around $180 on WHOP to a “creator” for what was advertised as a legitimate digital product/service. What I actually got was basically worthless and nothing like what was promised. The creator then disappeared/blocked me as soon as I asked for help and a refund.
I went to WHOP support with clear evidence: screenshots of the offer, proof of payment, and messages showing the creator had not delivered what was advertised. WHOP initially agreed to refund me, then dragged their feet for so long that I finally lodged a dispute with my bank to protect myself.
Their response? They **suspended my WHOP account** because I dared to open a refund claim with my bank. After that, they refused to process the refund they had originally agreed to. So I was scammed by a creator on their platform, WHOP admitted there was an issue, took too long to fix it, and then retaliated against me when I raised a dispute with my bank.
This is disgusting behaviour from a platform that facilitates these payments and takes a cut, yet refuses to stand behind their customers when there is obvious fraud. If a marketplace allows scammers to operate, backtracks on promised refunds, and punishes victims for going to their bank, it is not a platform you can trust with your card or your money.
Avoid WHOP completely.
