Purchased a Mercedes-Benz B-Class B250e from Williams Motor Company Ltd in August 2025 and the experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful from day one. The car was sold with misleading information about both the battery capacity and the annual road tax. After purchase, it immediately became clear that the battery capacity was significantly below what was stated, and the tax costs were much higher than advertised. Both issues were independently confirmed, including by a local Mercedes dealership. When I raised these problems, the dealer refused responsibility and hid behind disclaimers, despite the Consumer Rights Act clearly stating vehicles must match their sale description and be fit for purpose. Instead of resolving the matter, I was forced into a lengthy complaints process involving solicitor correspondence, Letters Before Action, and consultation with Money Claim Online (MCOL). I was also advised to escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Financial Conduct Authority to report the misleading sales practices.Throughout this process, my requests for a refund or meaningful resolution were dismissed. The dealer’s legal representatives continually relied on technicalities and lengthy responses, causing major disruption, wasted time, and prolonged anxiety. What should have been a straightforward purchase has caused months of unnecessary stress and financial uncertainty.I urge others to be extremely cautious with this dealership. If anything goes wrong, be prepared for a long, stressful battle for your rights.
