I am extremely frustrated with Wingie's lack of transparency. They claim on their website that using a Mastercard credit card is free of charge. However, as soon as I entered my card details, the system applied an unexpected charge.
When I reached out to their customer care team for clarification, they admitted that the "free" policy does not apply to all credit cards. The problem is, they don't state these exclusions anywhere on their website. It’s incredibly misleading to bait customers with "no fees" only to tack them on at the final stage of booking. The customer service "Mete" has advised that nothing he can do.
This is against the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK. There are strict regulations regarding "drip pricing" and misleading omissions of material information.
