A Month Later: No Payment and No Accountability

It's been a month since my accident on 19 December 2025, and the handling of my claim has been extremely disappointing. After opening the claim on 20 December, the company took over, but no payment or resolution has been achieved since. The only action taken was arranging a hire car on 31 December, which, while new, has higher fuel costs than my damaged vehicle, adding to my expenses. Since then, I've encountered nothing but excuses: Christmas delays, issues with the third-party insurer, and claims that they need to follow up. Despite numerous requests for updates, I haven't received any information since 14 January. Promises of updates have gone unfulfilled. The internal records show a lack of progress, with weeks passing without any action on securing payment for a total loss valued under £1,000. Additionally, while there's no progress on my claim, there seems to be an excessive focus on financial checks and requests for unrelated information. I specifically asked for email updates, yet they continue to call instead, adding to my frustration. This situation has caused significant financial and emotional strain, disrupted family plans, and left me feeling stuck due to their inaction. While the staff may be polite, it doesn't make up for the broken promises, lack of updates, and absence of accountability. Overall, this experience has been unprofessional and deeply frustrating.
