Absolutely unacceptable service from Plum.
I urgently requested a Lifetime ISA statement for a live mortgage application and received no response for over 15 hours. Anyone who has been through the mortgage process knows how fast things move — when you’re asked for documents, you often need to provide them the same day. Not being able to access a simple statement quickly is completely unacceptable for a financial provider.
To make matters worse, the so-called live chat is ineffective, there is no phone number to call, and support simply ignores you when it actually matters. You are left with no way to get urgent help when you need it most.
Between myself and my partner, we have over £14,000 saved with Plum, yet when we need basic support and access to our own funds information, there is zero urgency or accountability.
This situation is now putting our property purchase at risk and could cost us a significant amount of money — all because Plum cannot provide a basic document in a reasonable timeframe.
Once this process is complete, I will be closing my account immediately. I have completely lost trust in this service.
I strongly advise that no one uses Plum, especially if you are relying on them for something as important as a house deposit. When it matters most, they let you down.
