I spoke to “Nina” at Plum today. I used to like plum, handy and helpful, until they launched their REFER A FRIEND SCAM. I got two friends to sign up and make deposits, set up saving rules so I met the criteria, followed instructions to a tee. Then 10 days pass no money paid to my account. It states you would get £25 per friend who signs up, then when you ask plum on their contact chat with a real person they tell you new rules which didn't exist before so they dont have to pay out. Dishonest and Manipulative business practices. Incentivising people to get friends to join and then gives their loyal users nothing in return. I will be withdrawing all my money and advising everyone AGAINST using plum in the future. AVOID

Impressive app with room for improvement

The app is quite impressive; I've been saving with the service for a few years. Customer support is satisfactory as it features an open chat with the team. The longest I've waited for a response is a few hours. They provide a wide range of investment options and offer additional training to enhance awareness and understanding of investments. The app is updated regularly and they monitor issues effectively. It's a solid tool. I'm giving it a 4/5 because there are still features I'd like to see added, like a dividend tracker/estimator and a web login for everyone, not just mobile users. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the service and they have performed well.

Misleading practices and poor communication

I signed up for a cash ISA, drawn in by an appealing interest rate. However, I was overwhelmed with messages in the app insisting that my account wouldn't function correctly unless I kept my current account linked. They seem to be pushing their regular savings products, which are unrelated to my ISA, implying that I would lose access to manage my ISA without sharing my bank account details. This is misleading. At year-end, the promised bonus for keeping the ISA untouched appears to require an additional month of maintaining the account to receive the payment. During this month, the interest rate significantly decreases, negating some of the initial benefits that attracted me. I've sought clarification on this issue, but my emails have gone unanswered, including one requesting how to file a complaint. If I misunderstood the terms, it wasn't made clear when I opened the ISA, and their lack of response to my inquiries effectively prevents me from transferring my ISA. There is no available telephone support. Despite following a recommendation, I would not trust my money with this service again and plan to withdraw my funds as soon as the bonus rate is applied.

Extremely unprofessional experience with the interview process

I had two interviews arranged with the HR team for a job opportunity. Unfortunately, they did not attend either time, without any prior notice or explanation. This was a complete waste of time and highlighted a significant lack of professionalism and basic respect. This company seems entirely unserious — I would avoid any of their offerings at all costs.

Its a very easy app to use, and to save. It had many options to add to your savings and can be as aggressive or easy as you need.

Their customer service response is also really good when ive used it. 100% recommend.

A fantastic discovery after 6 years!

I have been using this service for 6 years, thanks to my daughter's introduction. I was hesitant at first since I had never heard of it before. However, it's been the best decision I've made. I use it for my holiday expenses and it's also an excellent way to save.

Fantastic Savings Tool

This tool truly helps me save money while earning interest. I hardly notice the money leaving my account, yet it's still available and accumulating interest. If an unexpected expense arises, I can usually withdraw it within 24 hours. It has significantly reduced the amount I would typically waste.
