Really enjoy the Workhap course. It was super helpful for updating my resume and LinkedIn, networking, interview practice and negotiation. I also really enjoyed the weekly meetings with the Sho and the coaches. This gave a good opportunity to talk through obstacles and updates.
I’ve been following Sho on IG for a few years now and wasn’t having any luck with my remote job search (2+ years). Sho and the GHA program has helped me land a remote role with a negotiated sign on bonus in 6 weeks. Granted I did apply previously but the 2nd round I was much more prepared. In an exceedingly tough market and not getting past the 2nd round of interviews I was able to get live feedback on my LinkedIn, resume, structuring my interview process, 30/60/90 presentation and hone in my negotiation skills. You do have to put in the work and show up every week and consistency is key. If you are looking at pivoting your career path I would highly recommend the group class as you’ll be speaking with other ppl in the same job search. If you need more of a one on one coaching style you can move up to his higher program. I can’t say enough about how helpful his team has been. It is a bit pricey (1 on 1) so I opted for the group course but if you can land your ideal career or dream job with specific needs it is 100% worth it imo. There are also peers from other parts of the world looking at jobs internationally and is very inclusive.
Workhap was fantastic! There was so much beneficial information that I learned from this program. The team understands how challenging the job hunt can be, and they broke the process down into manageable steps. Definitely would recommend for someone that feels stuck in their early career or wants to pivot.
I was really been struggling since losing my last Junior Software Engineering role in Oct 2022, especially with the job market in the tech industry. When 2025 rolled around, I made a resolution that this would be my last year of unemployment and made a 6-month plan to finish a coding project and get myself interview-ready. The last step of my plan was to find a career coach that could help me stay motivated and mitigate the burnout that had ended my previous attempts at job searching. I enrolled in GHA at the beginning of April, and by mid-June (less than 3 months later), I finally landed a full-time Junior Software Engineering role at a great startup with a 30% raise and sponsored security clearance!GHA is not a magical fix-all. Nothing is, and they're honest about it upfront that a new role cannot be guaranteed. But to me, GHA was the final push I needed to finally land an offer. I got personal feedback on my resume and LinkedIn, learned so much about the recruiting and hiring process, figured out how to show up confidently in interviews, and more. All the effort you put in will absolutely be reciprocated by the coaching staff, and they will support you however they can, every step of the way.
In January 2025, I decided to invest in the Get Hired Academy program to find my next job. I was in my previous company for over 12 years doing the same job and have been restless and ready to make the leap. But I was plagued with analysis paralysis and was struggling to edit my resume, my LinkedIn profile, and do the next steps in my professional journey. I felt lost and needed structure, direction, and community. GHA gave me that structure, organization, community, and resources to get started on my professional journey! The training modules are in manageable bite-sized chunks and quick enough pace that you do not lose interest or get bored. The weekly coaching calls with the wonderful coaches (shout out to Coach Sandra and Coach Sho) injected me with the necessary energy and accountability to keep going week after week.In May 2025, I got an offer from a Fortune 500 tech company for a people manager role with a 43% increase in base pay plus 20% annual bonus and RSU's! GHA was instrumental in getting me prepared each step of the way (from the screening interview, hiring manager interview, and compensation negotiation). I think it was a complete package of everything needed to build a strong and robust foundation of all my work, skills, talent, purpose, experiences and turn it into my superpower, it was easy to digest, and supported me in aligning everything I want with what I already have and complement my background with what's needed to succeed and develop.
GHA turned things around for me, and I can't recommend it enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Before joining GHA, my job search was a struggle. I’ve been following Sho since I began my job search in July 2024. During that time, I incorporated advice through free content and social media interactions to go from no interviews to multiple interviews with Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft and Amazon. Sho’s advice is something I truly credit for helping me break the barrier from no response to laughing and connecting with my interviewers during the job search. As a result of my hard work informed by Sho’s expertise, I landed a job offer with a goal company at a significant compensation increase from my previous employer. The coaches were great. I had just moved to a new city, and picked up any job, them signed up for workhap because I loved Shos content. Unfortunately I lost that “meh” job in the middle of the program and they help support me find a job that was a better fit for me and it was a fantastic experience. Show kept me accountable and focused and consistent. It was great. Hearing other people go through same things and seeing what’s possible was half the value I’d say!
