PSA to all business owners doing business with Worldpay, LLC, a credit card processing company located at 8500 Governors Hill Dr in Symmes Township, Ohio 45249:
I own and operate a small motel in Southern Illinois. I signed a contract to be on a monthly cycle with Worldpay back in July of 2025. According to the contract, my customers were supposed to pay for all the credit card processing fees, and I was given a sign from Worldpay to hang in my front window which let my customers know that processing fees were being added to all credit card transactions. Worldpay was supposed to charge the fees up front automatically whenever I ran a card, but it was very inconsistent; sometimes they would charge the fee, most of the time they wouldn’t. At the end of the month, they would then turn around and charge me for the processing fees that they forgot to charge when I ran the cards. As a result of this ineptitude, they owe me $891.38 accrued over the period July 2025 to December 2025, and they refuse to refund me the money.
I sent a complaint to the company, and a guy named Phil sent me an e-mail and said that their salesperson (Michael Jaffe) who set up my account made a mistake and they would take care of it. After several days with no follow-up, I received an e-mail from a lady named Kim Helmick, which stated that someone would call me to discuss my issue. This also never happened, even though I’ve sent many reminders. This company is a bunch of crooks. Very unprofessional, severely lacking in customer service, be very careful dealing with them. I am writing this in the hopes that it saves at least one person from falling victim to their trap.
