Have used wowcher previously on smaller purchases no problem, however, purchased a 2 night get away, redeemed the code and contacted the travel company who are supposed to reply within 24hrs, 36+hrs later I’d received no response but became aware of an important obligation that would fall within the travel dates. Emailed the travel company to advise need to cancel due to this also contacted wowcher via WhatsApp as they direct, they stated will respond in 24hrs. In the meantime spoke with travel company who advised it’s no problem, contract not entered into until the holiday is booked even though code redeemed and that wowcher would have to refund as they only get the money once the holiday is booked, they also advised wowcher would try just sending me back to them as code redeemed but it would lie with wowcher as no contract as no holiday booked. 4 days later wowcher responded stating as the travel company had predicted, I responded with what I was told, as written above, requesting a refund, that was 4 days ago and nothing since. Still waiting on the refund, had to get in touch with credit card company. Really really poor service, I won’t be using again. Please take heed if thinking of booking a short break with this platform.
