Purchased a Wowcher for a trip to Como. An offer that clearly states statutory rights and 14-day distance-selling refunds. Contacted the Wowcher-trusted merchant, travellolo, who told me on my travel date that the only flight arrives after the last train to Como, giving me the option to stay at the airport or take a taxi. They offered me the option to pay a surcharge for better flights at 80£, which would make this the same price as other options. I requested a refund, and they told me that it has to be done through Wowcher. Contacted Wowcher and followed the instructions for a 14-day money-back refund. Their customer service through WhatsApp replied saying this was purchased through a trusted merchant, so i have forwarded your request to them. Wowcher ignores further responses to requests for clarification, with WhatsApp messages going unreplied and no way to start a new conversation. Forty-eight hours later, there was no response or contact from either company. I wrote a complaint to the trusted merchant Tavellolo. Received a generic response stating that other flights are available on my travel days, with no details. These other flights were not offered in the initial contact.Responded back requesting further details. No response yet. I am now unable to get a response from Wowcher and seem to be stuck between them and their merchant. Which i do not have a sales contract with. This offer seems like a way to give you the false sense of a cheap holiday but then offer poor flight to get you to upgrade. Edit: pushed to the merchant again when i have no contract with the merchant. The purchase agreement is with Wowcher. And subject to the distant seller regulation.
