If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I bought the mystery holiday Wowcher deal (Order #50512556) and even purchased two, believing that the advertised price covered the full offer. However, when I contacted the travel agent to book, I was told there were additional undisclosed charges that had never been mentioned on the Wowcher deal page. I was told there was no way around the extra charges, and the agent couldn’t understand why I was not willing to pay the extra, even though I had already paid for the vouchers. This completely changes the total cost of the offer and feels like mis-selling. The price presented on Wowcher’s site is misleading when the real cost is much higher. When I raised the issue, I was told this was stated in the fine print — but I checked carefully, and these specific charges were not made clear at all. It’s extremely disappointing and feels deceptive. I expected transparency and honesty about what I was paying for, but instead I’ve been left out of pocket and frustrated.I’ve raised a formal complaint and will be contacting Citizens Advice and Trading Standards if this isn’t resolved properly. Buyers beware — check every detail, because the “deal” might not be what it seems.
