Zero stars was not an option

Wowcher have not failed to disappoint. My strong advice is do not book a holiday through Wowcher. We booked a holiday through Wowcher for three couples for the Vienna Christmas Markets and obviously had to redeem three vouchers in order to book. There lies the first catch. In order to book the holiday, you have to redeem the vouchers. On committing to redeeming the vouchers, only then did we find out that Wowcher’s advertised Hotels and holiday are not available. We were instantly offered an inferior hotel for over £400 extra cost to us as the holiday advertised clearly didn’t exist. The other option was for the three couples to share two rooms when we’d paid for three rooms. Brilliant! We had paid over £1200 to Wowcher (our credit card statement shows as much) for nothing like the holiday, which was advertised. Wowcher’s small print states that you’re only liable for a refund if you don’t redeem the vouchers. What’s the point of the vouchers? You have to redeem them to find out that the advertised holiday doesn’t exist. We then demanded a refund and cancellation of contract from Wowcher due to a misleading holiday advert. Wowcher referred us to the third party holiday company for a resolution. They in turn referred us back to Wowcher, who (you guessed it) referred us back to the third party holiday company again. We are still waiting for this to be resolved. Is this a scam between Wowcher and their trusted third party holiday company? All I know is we’re £1200 down with no holiday.UPDATE TO MY REVIEW: Thank you for getting back to me on Trustpilot. Further details are has follows: The vouchers were purchased from you on 31st August 2025 for a three night break in Vienna for three couples and your booking reference is 50191584. We sent you £1,331.48. Your Third party partner is Prime Holidays. As I mentioned we have received two pre-typed, generic replies from you so far, telling us to contact Prime Holidays for a resolution, who have also told us numerous times to contact Wowcher for a resolution. I assumed that if I contacted your customer service department for a third time, away from Trustpilot, I would receive a third generic email reply to contact Prime Holidays. I’m caught in a loop of no help at all from either company. I have all of the emails, replies and screenshots of every conversation up to this point to assist you in my refund. I will obviously be happy to send you these. **FURTHER UPDATE** On 10th September, Wowcher Customer Service got in contact with me asking for more details, which I happily supplied and this morning, 12th September, Prime Holidays have, for the third time, referred me back to Wowcher for a resolution in a’Dear Customer’ cut and paste email. **FURTHER UPDATE** On 23rd September, Wowcher have again referred me to Prime Holidays in an automated reply, for a resolution. This is now seven times in total that I have been bounced from Wowcher to Prime Holidays and back again. I’m fully expecting to be referred back to Wowcher. In summary. This holiday scam is unacceptable so never fall for it. We’re £1331.48 out of pocket. One of these companies has our money and are both refusing to refund it after falsely advertising a non existent holiday, taking our money and providing nothing in return.
