Received a response from the company instructing me to take the bed to a location for either repair or replacement. According to section 20(8) of the consumer rights act, when a consumer rejects defective goods, the seller is responsible for the reasonable costs of returning the item, meaning they should arrange for pickup. I have photos showing where the beds were made and stored; the mattresses are in a lean-to, and all the wood for the bases has been left out in the rain, which likely caused my bed to collapse. I'm trying to upload the photos, but for some reason, it won't work. If you could see them, you would never consider buying from this seller, even if the price was as low as £5.
