On July 5 I purchased 5 items at 7/11, 2404 University Ave, San Diego 92104-corner of Texas Street. 2 cappuccinos, 1 bagel, 2 pints of ice cream on sale. When I was walking out, the amount seemed high-I checked my receipt (the ink on it was super light) and saw he had overcharged me for ice cream that was on sale; and another item that was not in my bag. He charged me for 6 items-I had 5. I wanted to go over his error with him, and let him know he had accidentally overcharged me and he IMMEDIATELY SAID " I never make mistakes". I patiently told him to look at the receipt and what I had in my bag- He stated 2 more times-only more arrogantly "I NEVER MAKE MISTAKES- And 7/11 does not give refunds or credits!" WHAT??????????? so you overcharge the public, on purpose, and get to keep our money? AKA theft? BrilIiant. I then asked him when his manager was coming in- "after 8". I called after 8, not in-of course. I wrote a lengthy review about him on YELP-they moved it to their "NOT RECOMMENDED section". Not surprising- This 7/11 has many 1 star reviews. I then contacted Corporate 7/11 to file a formal complaint against the employee. 7/11 and I have spoken a couple of times-they have reached out to the Franchise Owner-who has not gotten back to them. VISA, today, refunded my overcharge but I will be pursuing the complaint. Never had a problem in a 7/11 in over 40 years. I'm a local business owner and I will be making sure I never return here and letting the locals know about the overcharge and the employee's refusal to return the money or credit my card. Horrible service.
