I used the Cetaphil day moisturiser with factor 50 for years with no problem. It now has a “new formula” and boy did my skin react badly. Within minutes my face was bright red and my eyes stinging. A week later and after using steroid cream my skin is starting to settle but my eyes are very sore still. The box states new formula, but it is in fact a completely different formula altogether, hardly anything similar. Cetaphil sent me the list of ingredients. Thankfully my husband is a chemist and could work through the long list in both formulas, he said they were completely different. I won’t be using Cetaphil again. They said, “the new formulation is mineral sunscreen, the old formulation was a chemical SPF moisturiser”. The old formula is no longer manufactured.
