Sharp out of the box but after a couple of day it developed a few chips. Was told its due to cutting frozen food or dropping it. It never was used or dropped. Now it developed a bend near the handle. Metal seems to be very soft. Was not impressed with so called"Japanese craftsmanship". I think it's website selling knok off items. Won't be using them again.
